The entire story (which can be heard in the video above) revolves around a couple whose life completely turns around after the wife’s best friend, in this case, Jessie, decides to step in and create a misunderstanding between the couple.
The author of the story notes that her wife had PPD (postpartum depression) and her friend managed to convince her that he might be having an affair because he did not feel attracted to her after she had gained weight during the pregnancy.
Time and again the author tries to convince his wife that he is faithful to her. However, the tension caused by Jessie leads to the wife doubting her marriage. The author also finds himself in a position where he has to seek a therapist as he does not feel heard in their relationship. Things take a turn for the worse when the author decides to leave the house with their child as he feels concerned about his wife’s actions. Unfortunately, the couple is never able to clear out the misunderstanding as the wife dies in a car accident.

In the post, the author notes that he had thought about issuing a restraining order against the friend before his wife died and things did not get better falling her death as he was unsure if she should be allowed to speak at the funeral.
