Alex Collins Death – Obituary News: Former NFL running back Alex Collins dies in Lauderdale Lakes motorcycle crash.

In a tragic incident over the weekend, former NFL running back, 28-year-old Alex Collins lost his life in a fatal motorcycle crash.

In response to a call, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office promptly arrived at the scene located in the 3300 block of West Oakland Park Boulevard, shortly after 10:15 p.m. on Sunday. In the initial stages of the investigation, it has been determined that Collings was operating a 2004 Suzuki GSX-R600K motorcycle at the time of the collision. The unfortunate incident occurred when Collings collided with a Chevrolet Suburban SUV.

According to a press release from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, it has been reported that the Chevrolet involved in the incident was attempting to make a left turn, with the intention of crossing the eastbound lanes. Tragically, it was during this manoeuvre that the motorcycle, which Collins was riding, collided with the rear passenger side of the SUV.

According to a statement from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, Collins was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

“We are so saddened by the sudden and tragic passing of Alex Collins. He was a legendary Razorback and an even better person. His love for the Razorbacks and desire to be a Hog was undeniable. We will miss him greatly. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time. #RIP3,” Arkansas Razorback Football wrote in a social media post.

Collins played college football for the Arkansas Razorbacks and was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft with the 171st overall pick. He spent two seasons with the Baltimore Ravens in 2017 and 2018 before re-signing by Seattle in 2020. He played one season with the Memphis Showboats of the United States Football League (USFL).
