Allen Stone- The Contestants of The American Song Contest

Allen Stone, the famous singer-songwriter, is expected to represent Washington in the fourth American Song Contest with the song A Little Bit of Both. On April 11, 2022, NBC will air the episode. The American Song Contest, hosted by Kelly Clarkson and Snoop Dogg, is produced by the same people who brought you the longstanding Eurovision Song Contest and The Voice.

Allen Stone was born in 1987 in Chewelah, Washington, a small town near Spokane, and grew up listening to gospel and Christian music. Stone’s father is a local church pastor, and his mother is an obstetrician. Stone started playing guitar at the age of 11 and began recording demo tapes for his peers. He even composed his first piece of music.

Stone began guiding teen worship groups at the age of 14 and has never looked back. In his late teens, he became interested in classical soul music and began collecting classical and golden age R&B singers/songwriters. Stone moved to Seattle after graduating from high school at the age of 18, where he began his career as a composer and performer. He started with a few shows on the West Coast and quickly gained thousands of fans. Then he started giving live concerts, doing up to 200 gigs a year.

His five full albums feature a mix of mundane folk-rock, edgy soul-pop and classic R&B. Allen and his band have performed opening acts for Stevie Wonder, Hall and Oates, OAR, Al Green, Dave Matthews Band, The Roots, etc. They have wowed audiences on six continents and in every state. of the United States wowed with their full band live performance. They have also been on hit TV shows like The Tonight Show, Conan and The Late Show with David Letterman, to name a few.

According to Linkedin, the singer-songwriter calls himself a “soul hippie” and “his melodious voice and style showcase clear influences of classic soul and R&B of the 1960s and 1970s, while his lyrics express an idealism and passion, reminiscent of the folk-inspired singers/songwriters of the time.” The singer currently lives in Spokane, Washington, with her fiancée and their two dogs, Ricky Lake and Chunk.Stone is honored to represent her state in the next edition of the Flower Song Contest. All about the show

The first episode of the American Song Contest aired on March 21, 2022. The concert featured professional musicians from each US state and territory. Participants compete for the title of ‘Best Original Song’ by performing their own original tunes.
