Summary

- Hisam apologized to Reilly for his harsh speech after the Power of Veto ceremony. Other houseguests are now questioning Hisam’s integrity.
- Hisam’s power and competition wins might make him a target in the game. If his alliance turns on him, Reilly’s alliance could have the numbers to keep her and seek revenge.
The Big Brother 25 week 2 Power of Veto ceremony has taken place, and, unsurprisingly, veto winner Hisam Goueli, who is also the current Head of Household (HOH), decided not to use the veto to save either of his nominees, Reilly Smedley or Cameron Hardin, from the chopping block. Hisam holds all the power this week as the HOH and the veto winner, and he expects Reilly to leave the Big Brother house. She would join week 1 evictee Kirsten Elwin as the second houseguest to be evicted from the game. Luke Valentine also exited the game in week 1, when he was expelled for using a racial slur.
The live feeds revealed that Hisam didn’t save Reilly or Cameron at the Power of Veto ceremony. Hisam had targeted Reilly when he found out that she planned to go after him if she had the chance. The Power of Veto competition was played by Hisam, Reilly, Cameron, America Lopez, Blue Kim, and Matt Klotz. Reilly is working with America, Blue, and Matt, so the odds seemed in her favor, but Hisam still was able to win. Although Cirie Fields promised to keep Reilly safe, it appears that she still might be leaving on Thursday. Her Final 2 partner Jag Bains has already made a new Final 2 deal with Blue.

Hisam Apologizes To Reilly For His Harsh Power Of Veto Ceremony Speech
When the live feeds returned, Hisam was seen apologizing to Reilly for his “unkind” speech. He told her that it was too much, and he regretted it. Reilly thanked him, and told him it was okay. Hisam then talked to Jag, saying that he went over the line with Reilly, and he was so sorry. Reilly spoke to Jared about Hisam, who told her that what Hisam said wasn’t cool. Reilly said that Hisam says people should have integrity, but his speech went against that. Jared shared that he now wants Hisam out of the house. Hisam was seen talking to each houseguest, apologizing for what he said about Reilly.
It will be interesting to see exactly what Hisam said to Reilly that made him feel the need to apologize not only to her, but to everyone in the Big Brother house. Perhaps Hisam’s speech will be the catalyst that makes the other houseguests want to keep Reilly in the game, and send Cameron home instead. This will definitely put an even bigger target on competition beast Hisam’s back because he doesn’t have a strong social game. No one will want to work with him, even if he has won three competitions so far.
At its heart, Big Brother is a game, so there is no reason to attack other players. Hisam might have had all the power this week, but he also could have made a mistake that will cost him in the future. His power is only as strong as his numbers, and, if any members of his Professors alliance turn on him, Reilly’s alliance will have the numbers to keep her. The Professors could also see him as a liability and try to take him out. A lot could change before Thursday’s live eviction. What ever happens, Big Brother 25 is certainly living up to its motto of “expect the unexpected.”
Big Brother airs Sundays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EDT and Thursdays at 9 p.m. EDT on CBS.
