Diamond Dallas was born on April 5, 1956 in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, United States. Joseph Falkinburg was born to Sylvia (née Seigel) and Page Falkinburg Sr. He was raised by his father after his parents divorced and has two brothers. .
As a dyslexic, Page faced numerous challenges throughout his childhood and educational years. He attended St. Joseph’s High School in New Jersey, where he was a member of the basketball team. Page later attended Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina for a short time before dropping out to work full time.

Diamond Dallas began his wrestling management career with the American Wrestling Association in 1988 (AWA). He managed the Badd Company tag team, as well as wrestlers Colonel DeBeers, Curt Hennig, and Madusa Miceli. Subsequently, Page and Gordon Solie worked as color commentators for Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW).
Page joined World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 1991 as the manager of The Fabulous Freebirds. In the same year, he made his pay-per-view wrestling debut as a tag team partner with Mike Graham in Starrcade. He won his first WCW World Television Championship by defeating Renegade. Page won the United States Heavyweight Championship at the 1997 Starrcade pay-per-view event by defeating Curt Hennig. Later, he defended his title by defeating the likes of Chris Benoit, Raven, Dennis Rodman, and Hulk Hogan.
Page won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in 1999 after defeating Sting, Hogan and Ric Flair in a four-way dance match at the Spring Stampede pay-per-view. He made his World Wrestling Federation (WWF) debut against The Undertaker in 2001. His feud with him continued after Page assaulted The Undertaker backstage. He defeated Christian on the January episode of Smackdown to become the WWF European Champion, but ultimately lost the title to William Regal.
In 2004, Page joined Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) and started a feud with Raven. He later appeared in other promotions such as Juggalo Championship Wrestling, Independent Circuit, and others. Page made an appearance on a weekly WWE show in 2011 to promote “The Very Best of WCW Monday Nitro” DVD.
