In Louisville, an early-morning interstate collision claimed the life of a motorcycle rider.
On Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at around 1:45 a.m., Louisville Metro police got a call regarding a motorcycle crash on the ramp leading from I-65 North to I-264 West.
According to reports, the rider apparently lost control of his motorcycle when merging into the I-264 West ramp while on I-65 North, crashing into a concrete barrier.
The man was thrown from the motorcycle, according to the police, and was not wearing a helmet. When EMS arrived, they pronounced him dead.
Dorian LaRue of Louisville, Kentucky has been unofficially identified as the deceased.
The reason behind the motorcyclist’s loss of control remains unknown as the LMPD Traffic Unit continues to examine the collision.
“It’s a sad sad day on the Kentucky MC set. We lost our Louisville chapter brother Dorian LaRue in a tragic motorcycle accident last night. PLEASE PLEASE keep his Family and the State Burner MC Family in your prayers,” a Facebook post said.
