Edna Ensz, who resided in Beatrice, Nebraska, passed away on December 23, 2023, and we regret to inform you that we had to bid our final goodbyes to her. If you would like to express your condolences to the family, you can do so in the guestbook that has been provided.

Her husband Robert Ensz, her parents Gerhardt Penner and Elsie Penner (Esau), her brothers Richard and Willard Penner, and her son-in-law Bob Hawley all passed away before she did. She was the only surviving member of her immediate family.

She is survived by : her children, Kathy Weyers (Lyell) of Lincoln, James Ensz (Vicki) and Janet; her grandchildren, Brian Adam (Brooke), Lindsey Fenzel (Drew) and Rodney Ensz (Shana); her great grandchildren, Baylee, Brynlee Adam, Gavin, Decker Fenzel, Stella and Randall Ensz; and her friend Lloyd “Tony” Smith of Iowa City, Iowa..

On Wednesday, December 27th, 2023, visitation will take place at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel, which is located at 708 N 6th St, Beatrice, Nebraska 68310. The hours of visitation are from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The First Mennonite Cemetery, located at 6714 NE-4, Beatrice, Nebraska 68310, will perform a graveside service on Thursday, December 28th, 2023 at 12:15 PM and from 1:15 PM to 1:30 PM.

The service will take place at the cemetery. On Thursday, December 28th, 2023, at one o’clock in the afternoon, there will be a celebration of life conducted at the First Mennonite Church, which is located at 6714 NE-4, Beatrice, Nebraska 68310.

In honor of the First Mennonite Church, a memorial has been established, and John Penner and Larry Thimm are in charge of its administration.
