Erin Dougherty Obituary: Erin Ann Dougherty, a resident of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023. She was 26 years old at the time of her death. “Erin Dougherty was one of the best people I ever got to know. I was privileged to meet her in the Spanish class of my senior year. She found her way into my life during a time when I truly needed her, though I didn’t know it then. I don’t think she did either. She was one of those people that you just instantly felt comfortable around and laughed freely with, even if the world was crashing down around you.”
Who was Erin Dougherty?
Erin Ann Dougherty, who was born on October 2, 1997, was a beloved child of Edward and Lisa. Her older sister Kathleen and her younger brother EJ adored and cherished her. Her abundance of love, light, and laughter was felt by those closest to her.
After graduating from Paul M. Hodgson Vocational Technical High School this past year, she was one of only two candidates for a prestigious co-op position at Nemours Children’s Hospital.
Erin worked for Nemours in Wilmington, Delaware, as a clerical abstractor for health information management, release of information Specialist.
In Baltimore, Maryland, she worked for AstraZeneca and the Kennedy Krieger Institute. She was successful as an adult in a number of career fields thanks to her tenacity and resolve, including federal government consulting, project management, and medical billing.
