Fans React As Travis Kelce's Old And "Misogynistic" Tweets Resurface

Some of Travis Kelce‘s old tweets have resurfaced, sparking a wave of reactions from fans and the public alike. The old tweets, shedding light on the NFL star’s past social media activity, raised eyebrows due to their perceived misogynistic nature. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s tweets featured direct attacks on plus-sized women, as well as derogatory remarks about ladies in general. Although the posts date back over a decade, fans believe they only reflect Kelce’s true nature. Turns out the public will need some explanation, especially as loverboy Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift recently started dating.

Travis Kelce’s Old Tweets Resurface 

Kelce has found himself in hot water as old tweets containing misogynistic content have resurfaced. While the football player seems all mature now, it appears he had a thing against women as far back as 2010. In one of the posts, Kelce urged men to have nothing to do with women, who weighed more than them. 

“As a man, you have something wrong with you if your going for girls that weigh more then you!!” he wrote. 

In another tweet, shared in March 2010, Kelce directed his mockery at plus-sized women. He tweeted: 

“Haha when fat people fall, it’s like slow motion entertainment, cuz they never just fall, they always tumble and gradually hit the deck.”

When Kelce didn’t direct his comments at bigger women, he attacked the gender generally. 

“I gotta get out of here, its too weak!!!  im getting attacked by ugly girls,” read one of the tweets. 

Kelce also used the adjective “ugly” to describe women in subsequent posts. 

“Damn the clippers girls gotta be the shitty girls that don’t make the Lakers girls team, cuz they all was ugly,” he posted.

Fans React to the Resurfaced Tweets 

Fans and critics have taken to Reddit to express their disappointment over the content of the tweets. One fan wrote: 

“Is Travis the Kelce who also called women breeders? If so, we love a track record of sh***y men being sh***y!” 

Another upset Redditor commented: 

“Men being a***oles has gotten so boring and predictable.” 

A third user shared: 

“Disappointed but not surprised.” 

On the other hand, some fans cut Kelce some slack, noting that it happened a long time ago, and he would have matured by now. 

“I’m not judging anyone by what they thought was funny or edgy in 2010. We grow up,” a fan wrote. 

Another person with similar thoughts relayed: 

“Honestly, they’re s**t tweets but they’re from 13 years ago. Hopefully he’s grown up.” 

Other users agreed that Kelce was quite young but maintained that being in his twenties wasn’t an excuse to make such posts.
