Gabriel James, a 22-year-old resident of Haymarket, Virginia, NCAT University student, tragically lost his life in an automobile accident on May 22, 2023. While driving his truck south on US-29, the vehicle veered off the right side of the road, drove into the median and overturned.

Originally from Haymarket Town, Virginia, Gabriel is known for being the embodiment of goodness. As a freshman at North Carolina A&T University, I aspire to achieve success and possess exceptional problem-solving and personal skills.
Upon graduation from North Carolina A&T, I plan to pursue a career in engineering. Gabriel is survived by his mother, Michelle Adams Hebert; twin brother, Jacob Hebert; grandparents, Jimmy Hebert Sr. and Nancy Levron Hebert; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Gabriel’s father, Jimmy Hebert Jr., died before Gabriel was born.
Gabriel was a caring brother and son who loved kitesurfing, fishing, hunting, and attending concerts with friends. He recently graduated from Central Lafourche High School and served as a combat medic in the Louisiana National Guard. With his EMT certification, Gabriel worked in SMS’s medical examination department.
He was known for his kind nature, pleasant personality and ability to help those in need. Although Gabriel’s absence will be deeply felt, he has found peace and is reunited in the arms of his Father, Jesus Christ, his Lord and Saviour.
