Gregory Babe biography
Gregory S. Babe serves as Chief Technology Officer, Director of the Company. Mr. Babe has served as the Company’s Chief Technology Officer since November 2015, and prior to that served as the Company’s Executive Vice President, Global Information Technology and Integration starting in November 2014. Mr. Babe also serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Liquid X Printed Metals, Inc., a Carnegie Mellon University spin out. From July 2012 to June 2013, Mr. Babe served as Chief Executive Officer of Orbital Engineering, Inc., a privately held engineering services company. Mr. Babe retired as President and Chief Executive Officer of Bayer Corporation and Bayer MaterialScience LLC in June 2012. Mr. Babe was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Bayer Corporation and Senior Bayer Representative for the United States and Canada in October 2008. Mr. Babe was responsible for the North American activities of the worldwide Bayer Group, an international health care, nutrition and high-tech materials group based in Leverkusen, Germany. In addition, he held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Bayer MaterialScience LLC, a producer of polymers and high-performance plastics in North America, from July 2004 until June 2012. Mr. Babe is considered well-qualified to serve on the Company’s Board of Directors based on his experience as a Chief Executive Officer of a multinational manufacturing company. He possesses a strong background in manufacturing and regulatory and government affairs. Mr. Babe is a member of the Finance and Special Committees. He serves on the board of the Benedum Foundation, where he is a member of the investment committee. Mr. Babe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from West Virginia University.
