Hank Williams Jr.’s Intimate Alabama affair: tied knot with girlfriend Brandi in a Close Knit Ceremony

Hank Williams Jr. and his fiancee have gotten married! After recently, revealing their engagement, the 44-year-old country singer and Brandi tied the knot in a small and private ceremony in Alabama on Saturday, as stated in an announcement on his official Facebook page.

The statement said, “Please congratulate Mr. And Mrs. Hank William Jr.!” It mentioned that Hank and Brandi got married on September 9, 2023, at Enon Baptist Church in Banks, Alabama, with a small gathering of family and friends present.

Even though the couple had just announced their wedding plans, the statement mentioned that Williams proposed on Mother’s Day in May. It also noted that Hank and 43-year-old Brandi have been friends and have known each other since 2003.

Hank Williams Jr.’s joyful announcement comes a year and a half after the passing of his wife, Mary Jane Thomas, who died due to complications from surgery in March 2022. They had been married for 32 years. 

Even though the “Family Tradition” singer has kept his relationship with Brandi relatively private, he shared a photo of them on Instagram in January. The picture showed them hunting together, and the caption read, “Sweethearts, Hank & Brandi”.

On July 4th, he posted a picture of his future wife proudly displaying her catch during a fishing trip.

Their engagement was made public on September 4th through a Facebook post on his Pure Hank radio show’s page. The caption of the post read, “The newly engaged outlaw country music and southern rock legend Hank William Jr. alongside his beautiful and lovely fiancee Brandi.” The post included a joyful picture of the couple.

How did Hank’s late wife, Mary Jane Thomas, die?

In April 2022, William honored his late wife, Mary Jane Thomasby, stating that her warm and loving spirit lives on in the hearts of their son, Sam, as well as their grandson, Beau and Tennyson, and granddaughter, Audrey Jane. He also mentioned that many people will continue to miss and love her forever.

Thomas, who was 58 years old, passed away due to a collapsed lung caused by surgery complications. This information comes from a report by the Palm Beach County Medical Examiner and an autopsy report obtained by PEOPLE.

She and Williams had a son named Sam, who is now 26 years old, and a daughter named Katherine, who tragically died in a car accident in June 2020 at the age of 27.

Before his marriage to Mary Jane Thomas, Williams had two previous marriages. His first marriage was to Gwen Yeargain, which lasted from 1971 to 1977. After that, he was married to Becky White from 1977 to 1983.
