In Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2 players will face an enormous Titan Tank that they will need to contend with during rounds if they hope to survive. For those following the story, the Titan Tanks are controlled by the Imagined Order (IO) organization. Players will find most of the island’s territory is controlled by this organization, with the notable exception of the Resistance-controlled Armored Battle Bus in Fortnite.

The fastest way to destroy the imposing IO tanks is to target the bronze panel beneath the turrets on the front side with heavy fire. Once the bronze panel is sufficiently weakened, players will be able to target the driver directly and kill them. However, players will need to act quickly to remove the driver because a new panel will respawn once the original is destroyed. Alternatively, players can target the tank with Remote Explosives, which received a buff for Chapter 3, Season 2, and will directly deal a significant amount of damage to the Titan Tank.

Another method to disable the tank is to shoot the two panels at the back of the Titan Tank, which will cause the engine to overheat. Similarly, players can work to destroy the tank’s tracks, which will impede its mobility. Finally, players can take a risk and get into the tank in Fortnite with their opponents, thus protecting themselves from the tank itself.

Fortnite: Finding and Using a Titan Tank

The Titan Tanks are located in the following locations: Command Cavern, The Fortress, Tilted Towers, Coney Crossroads, The Daily Bugle, Rocky Reels, and Condo Canyon. Each of these locations has one tank, with the exception of Command Cavern, which has two. Players should note that because Command Cavern is the best place to find a tank, this location is heavily guarded, so they should only approach if they are sufficiently armed. Additionally, because the island is divided into territories controlled by either the Resistance or IO, players can use the map to easily determine if an area is IO or Resistance from the map’s red and blue lines in Fortnite.

Those players seeking to use the formidable IO Titan Tanks against their opponents will need to plan accordingly to secure one as soon as the round begins. Once secured, the tanks each have four seats. Only the player seated in the driver’s seat can control the vehicle, and that player can also shoot explosives. Using their camera controls, players will be able to detonate explosives, with successful hits dealing 100 damage to their targets. In addition to the driver, the tank has a spot for a player to use the turret. However, the player using the turret should note that it can overheat if used too frequently. The final two seats in the Fortnite vehicle can be used by players using their own weapons.

In addition to all of the weaponry the Titan Tank is equipped with, it also has a thermal targeting system to allow players to search for hidden or distant enemies. Of note, players will need to monitor their fuel usage. Using the boost function will allow players to move quickly out of dangerous areas, but it will cost fuel.
