On July 8, 2022, Netflix will release the hit Taiwanese horror film Mantra. The plot revolves around a mother whose daughter inexplicably sees things that should not be seen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is currently the highest-grossing Taiwanese horror film of all time, grossing nearly $7.9 million at the box office.

On June 8, 2022, Netflix released the movie’s official trailer, which opens with the eerie question, “Do you believe in blessings?” and followed by the Ferris wheel and train competition. The experiment shows how the viewer’s perception of reality changes.
The film is made in the form of a fantasy, inspired by a true story
The clip has a creepy melody that will remind viewers of classic movies like The Blair Witch Project and Paranormal Activity. When it was released in Taiwan, the film received mostly good reviews from critics. The unusual themes, engaging storytelling, and camera work received the most critical acclaim. Mantras delve into many complex issues, including religious denominations and human views, among others.
