After True Beauty, Cha Eun Woo fans had to wait more than a year for the South Korean heartthrob’s new drama – but the wait has been well worth it!
Island’s first two episodes have impressed viewers with its fast-paced storyline and snappy action scenes paired perfectly with charismatic characters.
How many episodes in Island season 1?
Season 1 of Island will comprise six episodes before season 2 is set to return later in 2023. Each Friday, two episodes of Island will release at 12pm KST on TVING and later on Amazon Prime.

When will Island season 2 air?
Fans don’t have to wait too long for Island season 2 as the popular K-drama will reportedly return in February 2023 after the season 1 finale airs on January 13.
Island season 1 plot preview
Season 1 of Island unveils the mystery of Jeju Island where three people – Yohan, Van and Miho – unite to prevent the spread of demon energy that threatens to destroy the world.
Van and Miho share a past but, unfortunately, Miho doesn’t remember so the former has to bear the story of heartbreak alone until Miho’s memory returns.
Yohan (Cha Eun Woo) is a young and talented priest who has come to Jeju Island to find the people from a prophecy who can save the world from demonic energy. Yohan befriends Miho and goes on a joint mission to look for a girl who has gone missing.
One secret will lead to another and viewers will eventually get to see Miho tapping into her own powers as the trio face the evil together.
