Javonnta Murphy Death: Authorities identified man who was found dead inside a barrel on Malibu Beach.
The identity of the man discovered in a barrel on Malibu Beach has been made public by the medical examiner.
Javonnta Murphy, who is 32 years old, was the individual in question.
The body was discovered Monday morning and later that night, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, it was only identified as the body of a guy wearing no clothing.
A lifeguard discovered the 55-gallon drum at Malibu Lagoon State Beach at 10:30 in the morning and informed the sheriff’s office of the find.
Both the length of time the victim remained inside the barrel and its origin are unknown.
