Jesse Hester Accident; Resident Of Hammond City in Louisiana And Motorcyclist Passes Away in Tangipahoa Parish Wrong-Way Accident
Following a fatal collision that occurred in Tangipahoa Parish yesterday, Saturday, October 28, 2023, a motorcyclist from Hammond passed away. Jesse Hester, age 25, has been identified as the victim. Jesse Hester, a citizen of Hammond, Louisiana, reportedly died as a result of injuries he received in the wrong-way collision.
The collision occurred on Interstate 12 close to LA Highway 445 soon before three in the morning. When Jesse Hester was engaged with the collision, he was allegedly driving a 2022 Harley-Davidson westbound in the left-eastbound lane of Interstate 12.
It was also stated that when the Harley-Davidson collided with the 2008 Toyota Camry, it was travelling eastward in the left eastbound lane of Interstate 12.
The accident resulted in significant injuries for Jesse Hester. At the scene of the crash, he was declared deceased. He was reportedly donning a helmet that had been certified by the DOT at the time of the collision.
The Toyota’s driver was not hurt because he or she was securely fastened. Both drivers provided standard toxicological samples for processing as part of the continuing investigation; the findings are still waiting.
Additionally, a Hammond man lost his life in a single-car accident on Wednesday night, according to state police. Robert Kimble, 74, was the casualty of the collision that happened at around 7 p.m. on Interstate 55 close to US Hwy 51.
LSP claims that while Kimble was driving north on I-55, he lost control and struck a railing for an unidentified cause. Kimble was not using a seatbelt, according to officials, and he suffered serious injuries. After being taken to the hospital, he passed away from his wounds. Kimble provided a toxicological sample for examination as part of the inquiry.
