Jimmie Brownfield Car Accident: 15-Year-Old Davenport, Oklahoma Girl, Jimmie Brownfield Died in Fatal Car Crash

Jimmie Brownfield Car Accident; Jimmie Brownfield was a 15-year-old girl from Davenport, Oklahoma, who had a passion for powerlifting and mentoring. She was a member of The Team Black Powerlifting/Team Black Mentorship, a program that aims to empower young women through strength training and personal development. She was also a student at Davenport High School, where she excelled academically and athletically.

Sadly, her life was cut short on August 20, 2023, when she was involved in a fatal car accident near Ochelata, Oklahoma. She was one of three people who died in the crash, along with her friends Tyler Smith, 17, and Jessica Jones, 16. Two other people, the driver and another passenger, were injured and taken to a hospital.

What Happened to Jimmie Brownfield?

The collision happened on Highway 4020, roughly five miles south of Ochelata, at around 5:30 in the morning, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Northbound, a 2008 Ford F-150 pickup truck ran off the road and collided with a tree. The truck subsequently caught fire and burst into flames.

At the site, authorities declared Brownfield, Smith, and Jones dead. Blunt force trauma and heat damage caused Brownfield’s death. The fourth passenger, Ashley Garcia, 22, of Austin, Texas, and the driver, who was not officially recognised, both had significant injuries and had to be sent to St. John Medical Centre in Tulsa.

The cause of the accident has not yet been determined. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating whether speed, alcohol, drugs, or other factors played a role in the crash.
