The detailed spoilers for One Piece chapter 1070 have leaked online after the manga’s latest scheduled release date was delayed last week.
The eyes of the entire manga and anime worlds were firmly fixed on the Jump Festa event in Japan last weekend, with millions of fans around the globe hoping for an early Christmas present in the form of new project announcements.
Whilst unrelated to the event, the One Piece manga series was also notably absent from this week’s release schedule; the good news is that we are about to get back on a regular timetable as we head toward the New Year.
Here is everything that fans need to know about One Piece manga chapter 1070, including the release date, time, and leaked spoilers for ‘Strongest Humans.’
One Piece chapter 1070 release date confirmed after delay
The One Piece manga series was on a break last week, with chapter 1070 being delayed both domestically in Japan and consequently, internationally via associated distribution partners.
A specific reason for the delay was not shared; however, with the Christmas festivities only just around the corner, it’s no surprise that the production team took the opportunity for a quick break.
The good news is that the One Piece manga series will return shortly, with chapter 1070 now set to release for the vast majority of international fans on Sunday, December 25.
As confirmed by Manga Plus, the new chapter will be made available to read online at the following international times:
- Pacific Time – 7 AM
- Eastern Time – 10 AM
- British Time – 3 PM
- European Time – 4 PM
- India Time – 8:30 PM
- Philippine Time – 11 PM
- Australia Central Daylight Time – 1:30 AM

One Piece chapter 1070 detailed spoilers leak online
The detailed spoilers for One Piece chapter 1070 have been shared online by the OPSpoiler Twitter page. The title of the new chapter is ‘Strongest Human’ and the cover features five scientists discussing the state of humanity; Vegapunk, Ceasar, Judge, Queen, and an unknown woman.
The chapter opens with Luffy saying sorry to Sentoumaru for distracting him as the two continue to battle with Lucci. However, Sentoumaru says that Luffy should not look down on him; he was still able to pull up his guard and block most of the attack.
Meanwhile, Seraphim attacks CP0; S-Snake, S-Hawk, and S-Shark all land attacks, and the CP0 agents are easily defeated – however, we see Kaku and Stussy are refusing to join the battle just yet. Jinbe praises S-Snake which causes her to blush and “become very tsundere.”
Vegapunk explains in his lab that Seraphim are the pinnacle of modern science and are amongst the strongest beings on the planet, but he can’t guarantee that artificial Akuma no Mi can be awakened.
They then explain that it’s extremely difficult and dangerous to replicate Akuma no Mi, but that the Zoan are the easiest to replicate because their origins are animal-based – mythological models need special conditions.
Paramecia needs ‘lineage factor’ in order to replicate and that Logias are almost impossible to copy, which are used to create the Green Blood pumping through Seraphim’s arms – although Vegapunk seems disheartened talking about this.
Cut back to the battle, where Luffy lands an attack on Lucci who immediately coughs up blood and begins to lose consciousness. Sentoumaru takes this chance to tell Luffy to leave and find Vegapunk; he eventually does with some added encouragement from Chopper.
Vegapunk tells Nami’s group that he will go with them to the sea; some of the group are nervous at this idea, but others are far more excited to have a new crewmate. At the same time, Bonney regains consciousness and goes again for Vegapunk. Lucci has also been returned to Egghead’s City where he is covered in bandages, but he also has control over all four Seraphim.
The chapter ends with Kizaru landing a fleet on Egghead Island; “It would be easy for Straw Hat crew to bring Vegapunk out of the island…But things won’t go the way they think.”
