Even though her marriage to Jamie isn’t seriously affected by the traumas, her mind is shaken to the core. As the season progresses, it shows Claire’s wait for the Revolutionary War. Some fans of the show aren’t sure about Claire’s supposed pregnancy. Why do these people have these doubts? Let us show you!
Outlander Season 6: Is Claire Pregnant?
Not in “Outlander” season 6. Claire is not pregnant in season 6. After Claire is taken by Lionel Brown and his men, they hurt her. Jamie saves her from Brown. As the sixth season starts, Claire uses ether to get her mind off of how horrible it was when she was kidnapped. Claire is able to keep the traumas from affecting her emotional and sexual life with Jamie, but having another child will be too much for her. If that’s the case, what is the reason for the doubts about the character’s supposed pregnancy? We’ll find out.
During the sixth season of the show, Caitrona Balfe, who plays Claire in the show, got pregnant. So, because the show doesn’t need Claire to be pregnant, Balfe had to hide it while filming. In a March 2022 interview, the actress said that because she was pregnant, the whole production of season 6 was hard because her character needed a lot of energy to shoot the show. With changes to filming schedules, the crew was able to finish filming Balfe’s parts without any major problems.
There were only eight episodes in the sixth season instead of 12 or 13 in the fifth season or the fourth season. Balfe might have also been helped by this. When the show’s costume department, led by designer Trisha Biggar, had to make clothes that didn’t show the actress was pregnant, they had to think outside the box. In a February 2022 interview, Balfe said that Biggar helped her hide her pregnancy so that the season could be filmed. Balfe’s desire to portray her character perfectly led her to film Jamie and Claire’s intimate scenes even though she was pregnant and felt uncomfortable.
On August 18, 2021, Balfe said she had given birth to a boy. “I haven’t been on social media for a while because I was taking some time to enjoy cooking up this little person.” It means a lot to us that this little person chose us to be his parents. Already, I’m in awe of him, and I can’t help but look at all the different things he could become, where he might go, and what kind of adventure his life will be. Balfe said that.
Balfe’s determination and commitment to finish filming the sixth season of the show, even though she was pregnant, is a good thing. In the sixth season of the show, the actress does a great job portraying Claire, even though she had to deal with a lot of difficulties to do so.
