Sonja Morgan from The Real Housewives of New York City took a hit on her clothing line when Century 21 shut its doors. But now, she has found a new home for her smart tops and cute dresses in the aisles of the giant chain, Walmart. Fans last saw Morgan as she attended her grand opening of Sonja by Sonja Morgan at the head store of Century 21 in New York City.

All the women showed up to support her and her lifelong dream of being a designer. The fashion line was officially launched in 2014, and the housewife signed a contract with the store in 2019. The store’s CEO made numerous comments about how well she would do and even gave her a display at the front of the store with her own sign. Sadly, not too long after the launch, the company announced it was shutting its doors once and for all, leaving Morgan high and dry.

On March 2, Walmart announced via its Instagram that the housewife had moved her fashion line to their stores. Bravo fans and fashionistas were more than excited to hear the good news and quickly flocked to the site. The blonde’s pricing is still a bit high for the chain’s usual garments, but the store is hoping to capitalize on Morgan’s name and legacy.

The store shared a picture of Morgan in one of her famous little black dresses with the caption, “A little glam goes a long way. Chic styles.” And it is true, a little glam does go along way, especially when you are hoping to dress like Morgan but not with the high-end prices. The black Evelyn mini dress will run you $85, but it is well worth it and comparable to any other cocktail dress out there. The giant puffy sleeves and belt pull the fashion-forward look together and easily be recognized as a Sonja Morgan original. The clothing line offers other options like ready-wear leopard shirts from $44.95 to more Golden Globe type sequin dresses at $99.95.

Not much is known about the Walmart deal, but the collaboration with Century 21 was set to make The Real Housewives of New York star the chief lifestyle officer for the store, but sadly, once the pandemic hit, no one was willing to go on shopping sprees in a luxury chain. Whatever deal was struck, fans are thrilled and willing to head to Walmart to buy her clothes, and this is exactly what the retailer was banking on.
