Additionally, James Pierce, Joey Graziadei, John Buresh, Michael Barbour, Sean McLaughlin, Tanner Courtad, Warwick Reider, and Xavier Bonner were still competing for Charity’s heart.

Charity surprised the men by showing up at TheBachelor Mansion. She apologized to them for ending the previous day’s barbecue early. However, she shared that she did feel like her husband was there, so that was why she wanted to be very intentional with every decision. She then confessed that she had made a big decision that she couldn’t do this anymore, which scared the men. But then she added, “here in L.A.” Charity then announced that she and the men were taking a trip to Oceanside, California.

9 Charity Lawson & Brayden Bowers’ Connection Grows Stronger On One-On-One Date

Charity told the guys that their bus was leaving in 30 minutes. However, she was there to take one special person on a one-on-one date with her, riding in style in a helicopter. Much to the disappointment of the other men, Charity chose Brayden for the date. Brayden was thrilled, saying, “I got the first impression rose the first night. And so for her to pick me to have this one-on-one date probably made some guys jealous […] I’m excited to have my time away with her.”

Charity drove Brayden in a red convertible to the helicopter. In her confessional, Charity said she was excited about her one-on-one date because she had an instant connection with Brayden. However, last week, she was scared when Brayden considered leaving, but she also admitted she felt foolish in other relationships for ignoring red flags. Charity wanted to find out if the experience was too much for Brayden or if he was willing to fight for her, as that was the test. Charity confessed she was nervous because she liked him so much.

After a romantic helicopter ride, they landed in the middle of Petco Park, home of baseball’s San Diego Padres. Brayden was excited because he grew up near the area. He also said that landing in the middle of Petco Park was something that only happened in movies. They had the whole park to themselves and were only joined by the San Diego Padres mascot, the Swinging Friar. He gave them jerseys that said, Mrs. Lawson and Mr. Lawson.

Brayden and Charity had a really fun time playing catch, hitting baseballs, and sharing some kisses. They had a picnic on the field, where they discussed how happy they were to be on the date. Brayden opened up to Charity about how it was hard to know she was dating other men. Charity understood but told him to focus on the special moments they had together.

Brayden and Charity had dinner in the middle of the field at Petco Park. In her confessional, she acknowledged that helping Brayden through his doubts was demonstrating old patterns for her because she naturally takes on the role of the nurturer in a relationship. This time, she said she wouldn’t ignore the concerns or the red flags she sees early on. Brayden explained to her that he’d been feeling out-of-whack, but he felt good about their super-fun date.

Charity told Brayden it made her nervous that he thought about leaving. However, Brayden pointed out that he didn’t leave, and he wanted to stay and see if he had a connection. He admitted that it was scary for him because she was dating other people as he was cheated on before. He didn’t want to experience that again, but in this journey, he was walking back into that trauma.

Charity told Brayden that he was putting so much pressure on himself, and Brayden told her he would continue to try. He then wrote her a special message, “You’re worth trying for,” on a baseball for her to keep. She then wrote him a message on a baseball as well that said they should take this day-by-day. Charity gave Brayden the date rose because he said he was willing to put in the effort for her. In his confessional, Brayden said that Charity was an amazing girl. They kissed with a backdrop of fireworks.

8 Twelve Men Join Charity Lawson For A Barbie Sing-Off Group Date

At the hotel in Oceanside, Joey read the date card, which invited 12 men on a group date. The men included on the date were Joey, Aaron B., Michael, James, Caleb B., Aaron S., Sean, Xavier, Tanner, Adrian, Dotun, and John. The card read, “Ken you feel the love tonight?” The men were stunned to realize that Warwick received the one-on-one date because he was so quiet. Xavier told Warwick that he was happy for him but he was confused about how Charity was moving.

The men met Charity at the beach for a Barbie-themed date. The Bachelorette season 12 married couple JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers joined Charity to host a Barbie Sing-Off. One of the stars of the Barbie movie, Simu Liu, sent Charity a message of encouragement. During the competition, the men had to dress as various versions of Ken dolls while writing and singing a love song for Charity to the tune of Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.” They had to perform on stage in front of an audience of fans.

The men chose their costumes, including Aaron B. (Merman Ken), Aaron S. (Glitter Beach Ken), Adrian (Classic Ken), Caleb B. (Cowboy Ken), Dotun (Astronaut Ken), James (80’s Prom Ken), Joey (Rollerblade Ken), John (Birthday Suit Ken), Michael (Bad Boy Ken), Sean (Double Denim Ken), Tanner (Ice Skater Ken), and Xavier (Sugar’s Daddy Ken). Sugar is the name of Ken’s little white dog. Sean pointed out that he looks like a Ken doll.

During the Barbie Sing-Off, Dotun invited Charity onstage with him and they danced together. Caleb B. showcased his impressive singing skills, but Sean stole the show. He took off his denim vest and was shirtless at the end. Charity got so caught up in the moment that they shared a passionate kiss after his performance. She said she was looking for that confidence and forgot for a second that they were on a group date.

7 Sean McLaughlin Wins The Barbie Sing-Off & Upsets The Other Men

Charity chose Sean as the winner of the Barbie Sing-Off, so he got to spend some time with Charity after the show. They took a stroll down the pier, during which Sean admitted that he hadn’t felt these feelings in a long time, and it gave him hope. They shared another kiss on the pier in front of the sunset.

Aaron S. said in his confessional that Sean was a pretty boy, but he was a man. He said that Sean would take a woman shopping and to country clubs and wine and dine her, but he was a real-life man who knows how to camp, fish, hunt, water ski, and wakeboard. At the after-party, the men waited for Charity and Sean to return from their one-on-one. Sean burst into the room, loudly singing the song he wrote for Charity, interrupting the men. Aaron S. was angered by him, along with some of the other guys. Aaron S. told Sean to have a slice of humble pie.

When Charity entered the room, Sean immediately asked if he could steal her for a second. He told the guys he’d be right back, and he just had to finish their conversation. In his confessional, Aaron S. called Sean a selfish, privileged child. The men thought that Charity would be able to see right through Sean, but instead, they shared another kiss. When Sean came back to the group, James was visibly upset, telling him that he was rude because he might not get any time with Charity now because of him. Sean said that he would feel bad if James went home.

Charity then spoke to some of the other men, building their connections. In his confessional, John said that he tries to block out all of the noise to focus on Charity. They shared a kiss during their alone time. She said to the cameras that he makes her comfortable and she can unwind with him. Charity also had great conversations with Michael and Tanner.

During the Barbie Sing-off group date after-party, Charity surprised Dotun by inviting him upstairs to the hotel and revealing that they were in her room. Dotun thanked her and told her that he felt special, which was hard for him to feel. He said she did the same thing at the episode 2 barbecue, and Dotun wanted her to know how much it resonated with him. Dotun shared that he didn’t know how to put what he felt into words. He said Charity gave him something he never had in his previous relationships.

In his past relationships, Dotun always felt like he was the one being learned from, but he wanted to learn from other people. He told Charity that he’s seen from her interactions with others that she’s someone that he can learn from. He said, “You are such a competent person. And that’s so rare.” Charity admitted that he was making her tear up a little bit. Dotun continued, “That is so important to me. And I feel some type of way.” Charity laughed that she wasn’t mad about it.

Dotun marveled, “It’s just so crazy to me to watch you become what I’m seeing as my ideal woman.” Charity told him, “I don’t get told stuff like that a lot.” She said there was “something about it that really touches my soul.” She added that there’s something between her and Dotun that she can’t put into words. He agreed saying, “I think we can say that at the very least, right? And it’s gonna be such a journey to uncover that […] And I’m so happy to be doing that with you, Charity.”

Dotun then said in his confessional that Charity felt like a “kindred spirit” to him. He said it was “powerful” and what he’d been looking for for a long time. Dotun and Charity then shared a kiss. She confessed to the cameras that no one had ever talked about her in that way. She said that she was so excited about what was to come with Dotun.

Charity later rejoined the men, telling them that the night was incredible and that they continuously blew her away. She said that she was grateful to be there. In her confessional, Charity said, “Each day keeps getting better. It feels so right. It feels so real.” She then asked Dotun if he would accept the group date rose, to which he responded, “Absolutely. Put it on me.” Charity hugged each of the men before she left. Aaron B. expressed his disappointment that he didn’t get time with Charity. He blamed Sean and said he was immature and didn’t care about anybody else.

5 Charity Lawson Eliminates Warwick Reider On Their One-On-One Date

Warwick Reider Bachelorette season 20

In her confessional, Charity said that Warwick was someone who caught her eye. She said he has a beautiful face and she was physically attracted to him. She added that she’d been waiting for this date because she was intrigued by him and wanted to see more. Although they were going to an amusement park, Belmont Park, Charity wore a gown with a stole, while Warwick wore a tuxedo. They had the whole park to themselves. They rode the carousel, the bumper cars, the rollercoaster, and other rides.

However, even though Charity expressed that they had a fun day, Warwick had trouble opening up to her. When they went for ice cream, Charity got her own scoop while Warwick stood there. She said in her confessional, “For me, scooping my own ice cream sucks. I would love to see him just be a gentleman. I was a little disappointed.” They ate their ice cream, but Warwick didn’t speak to Charity. However, in his confessional, Warwick said that he thought it was going well with Charity. He thought they were connecting but said amusement parks made him tired.

Warwick admitted to Charity that a weakness of his was communicating. He said he was somewhat reluctant to get into relationships, and it was something he didn’t have experience in. In her confessional, Charity said, “Are you kidding? It’s ridiculous.” Charity then told him that she thought they were on two different pages when it came to readiness, and she couldn’t give him the rose. Warwick said it was okay, and she walked him out. Charity told the cameras that because each rose held so much significance, she couldn’t give him a rose just because he was cute. Later, Warwick fell asleep in the limo.

While speaking with the other guys, Brayden admitted, “The thing that’s hard for me that I’m not sure I can do is getting engaged after just dating with 20 other dudes. I mean, I know I for sure could date her after this experience.” However, Brayden said it would be hard for him to get down on a knee. Aaron B. told the cameras that it struck a nerve with him because although they all know it’s unconventional, they signed up for it.

At the cocktail party, Charity pulled Joey aside first. He shared letters his late grandfather wrote him with her, and they kissed. Charity then talked to Xavier, who had knitted her a scarf, which was the first thing that he knitted for anyone. They also kissed. After that, Brayden and Charity had a chat. They discussed their group date and how much they enjoyed it. Charity told him that words of affirmation were key to her, and they kissed. In his confessional, Brayden said that he was smitten. He then danced in front of the other guys.

When Aaron B. saw Brayden dancing, he said in his confessional that some guys were not there for the right reasons. He commented to Aaron S. that Brayden should leave if he wasn’t ready to get engaged to Charity. He was upset to see him walking around with a rose if he didn’t want to date a girl who was dating 20 other guys. Aaron B. then told the cameras that he wanted to tell Charity what Brayden had been talking about because he knew if he didn’t, no one else would.

Aaron B. sat down for a chat with Charity and explained that Brayden wasn’t ready for an engagement and didn’t want to date someone who’d dated 20 of his friends. Charity said that it frustrated her to hear that. Aaron B. assured her that he was there for her and would look out for her. He comforted her with a long hug. In her confessional, Charity admitted that hearing this from someone as trustworthy as Aaron B. was making her “a little sick.” She added, “I’m irritated times a million. I don’t have time to continue to deal with foolishness.”

Aaron B. later admitted to Brayden that he had told Charity about what he’d said. Brayden explained to him that he had already told Charity that he was taking the experience day by day. He said that an engagement was a scary thing. He didn’t think that people were contemplating what an engagement means. Aaron B. said he wanted to be Charity’s safe space, but Brayden told him there was no reason for him to bring up his name. Aaron B. said that he got it.

Brayden told the cameras that he was being transparent. He said, “I did not expect that to be used as fuel to burn me alive.” He said the thing that blew his mind was that it wasn’t anything he hadn’t told Charity yet. Brayden went on to say, “I feel like I need to be like Will Smith right now, and like, ‘Keep my name out your f—— mouth.’ Like, dude, I’m f—— annoyed.” Brayden then spoke to the other guys about how he didn’t want to hurt Charity, and there was no reason for Aaron B. to bring up his name.

In her confessional, Charity wondered if Brayden was taking the experience as a game or a joke. Charity pulled Brayden aside and confronted him. Brayden told Charity that he liked her and every time they hang out they have a good time. He explained that he’s told her he doesn’t know if he can see himself getting engaged. Brayden said the guys who are saying they can get down on a knee don’t understand the gravity of what an engagement means. He said he won’t lie about it when he doesn’t know if he can.

Charity said she was frustrated to hear from Aaron B. that Brayden was talking about how he doesn’t know how he feels about his future wife dating multiple people, and he knew what it was before he came in. Brayden said he knew what it was, but it wasn’t easy. He said that he felt guilty because he knew she wanted an engagement. However, she hadn’t met his family yet, and he’d barely met her brother. Charity responded, “Fair enough.” He emphasized that the men who were guaranteeing an engagement at that point weren’t taking it seriously, and his hesitancies were more real than what anyone else was expressing.

Charity said she wasn’t questioning what they have, but what he was talking about with the other men and what the rose symbolized to him. She added that she knew how difficult it was because she went through it on The Bachelor. Brayden said he could give her a connection, but that was all he knew he could give her at that point. She then half-heartedly hugged him after he asked. In her confessional, she said, “I’m very frustrated. Part of me almost hates that I feel the way I feel about him. And that’s sad to say… I’m gonna lose my mind tonight.”

1 Charity Lawson Eliminates Three Men At The Rose Ceremony

Before the rose ceremony, Xavier and Tanner told Aaron B. that his actions affected the other guys that night because they lost time with Charity. James lamented that he probably wouldn’t have time with her, and at this point, he couldn’t do anything about it. Host Jesse Palmer came to the cocktail party and acknowledged that many people hadn’t had time with Charity, but she had received concerning news and was frustrated. She felt very conflicted.

Before the rose ceremony, Charity told Jesse she didn’t know if she trusted Brayden. She said she was seriously considering taking Brayden’s rose away. She told the men that the roses symbolized someone who she knew was ready for this and someone who she knew was willing to put his all into this experience. She said if they accepted the rose, they agreed with that.

In her confessional, Charity said her head was telling her to send Brayden home, but her heart was saying she felt something for him. She was afraid of making a mistake. Charity gave roses to Aaron B., Caleb B., Xavier, Joey, Michael, John, Sean, and Tanner. She sent home Aaron S., Adrian, and James, along with Warwick. Charity said she decided to let Brayden stay because they have a strong connection. She said that she didn’t want to act prematurely on anything, and hopefully, her gut was right. Charity will have some important decisions to make moving forward, and time will tell how Brayden’s story ends on The Bachelorette.
