Trevor Labuda Obituary-Death News; A Brown University Men’s Swimming And Diving Athlete Committed Suicide

All of the swimming and diving communities in Rhode Island, Virginia, and California are in grief for a well-known sportsman who died too soon. Trevor Labuda, who gained notoriety for wearing the jersey number “Labuda ’22,” was discovered dead after a protracted struggle with anxiety and mental illness.

Reports state that Trevor Labuda broke the programme mark, which had stood for thirty-one years, to lead the men’s swimming and diving team to victory over Columbia, winning 186–114. After fighting anxiety and sadness, the Los Altos High School class of 2018 graduate died by apparent suicide.

Since then, Trevor and his twin brother Evan have been taking diving classes. One of Trevor’s greatest aspirations, according to him, was to represent his twin brother Evan in the NCAA Championships.

Evan dives for Northwestern University right now. Trevor expressed his optimism that he and his brother will one day be admitted to Ivy League universities to everyone who will listen.

When the two first started taking swim lessons at a local country club, they developed an interest in the diving squad. They joined the Stanford junior diving team when they were nine years old, and they have progressed steadily since then.

Though most of the main diving competitions, such the States or Nationals, happen in the summer, the two also compete in winter invitationals.

At eleven years old, they travelled to Canada for their first international meet, where they faced off against divers from Mexico, China, Germany, and Canada. In the contest, Trevor and Evan competed against some of the most experienced junior divers in the world.

Before coming to Brown from Los Altos, California, Labuda swam for the Stanford JOA Diving Club and Los Altos High School. The previous season in the Ivy League Championships, he competed in the 1-meter dive and placed ninth in the 3M dive. Dave and Cindy Labuda had a kid named Trevor. To his three siblings, Evan, Paige, and Chad, he was a loving brother.
