The new chapter starts in the immediate aftermath of chapter 2, with Boruto approaching Code with his new technique. Code opts for restricting Boruto’s movement as the best course of action, explaining how “if it [the technique] doesn’t hit you, it’s meaningless!”
Boruto’s technique warps around Code with recognizable rotation circles around Code’s left arm: “I told you it’s easy to and simple to kill you…” Boruto gives Code one final ultimatum, saying that he will die here and now if he doesn’t lead Boruto to the Ten Tails – Code laughs in his face, beckoning Boruto on to fight.
Code launches two lightning-quick attacks and is able to get behind Boruto for a split-second before Boruto dodges out of the way – Code thinks that his reflexes must have improved, but how is he dodging so many attacks this easily?
Boruto lands his new technique on Code, one called Rasengan: Uzuhiko – the leaks here regarding the technique are vague, with the insinuation that this is “rotation of the star”.
Kawaki joins the fight and uses his dojutsu to stop Code from escaping, who in turn brings out ‘the creature’. Shikamaru warns the remaining warriors to focus their attention on his army, but Kawaki is focused on Boruto – this is the first time that they have seen each other in years. Kawaki wants the two of them to continue their iconic fight, but Boruto interjects saying “I’m glad to see you’re doing well.”
It turns out that Boruto planted a Toad on Code and is tracking his communications to try and figure out if Ten Tails has been spotted. The chapter ends with the Toad confirming the presence of Ten Tails, spotted for the first time in over three years, but looking like their chakra is low – Code appears to be absorbing its power.
