Staying warm in the Mountains of Valheim can be a challenge for new adventurers, as no battle-hardened warrior can withstand the frigid temperatures of the wintry biome. Adventurers exploring the Mountains for the first time will encounter the Freezing Effect’s HUD message “You are freezing,” after which they will receive a slight amount of damage over time. At first, the HP loss might initially seem minor. However, as you venture further into the frosty zone, your Health will gradually plummet, leaving you with only a limited amount of time before you must return to warmer areas or risk death from hypothermia.

How to Acquire Frost Resistance in Valheim

Staying Warm in the Mountains of Valheim with Wolf Armor and Frost Resistance Mead

Fortunately, there is a way to stay warm indefinitely within the Mountains without fretting about freezing to death in Valheim with Frost Resistance. This beneficial status effect is primarily acquired with specific pieces of armor and Frost Resistance Mead. Drinking Mead will temporarily provide resistance to the frigid climate, while the armor enables adventurers to explore the biome without restriction.
