The latest teaser for Boruto Episode 291 has brought some major revelations and might be one of the most significant episodes throughout the Naruto series.

Boruto Episode 290 Summary
Presence is the title of episode 290. The episode opens with Kawaki and Boruto playing cards with their friends. Kawaki feels like he is being spied on. Inojin explains how the spying system works and that they cannot be spotted if one can erase their chakra. Kawaki listens to it very attentively. Later that evening, Kawaki goes out to take out the trash and later decides to run away.
He uses the technique Inijin taught him and decided to implement the same and escape the watchers. Boruto senses something is different and goes out to check on Kawaki. He soon realizes that Kawaki is running away and decides to follow him. Boruto informs his father, Naruto, of the same. Eido sees all this through her Sharingan and informs Code about Kawaki. Code starts to chase Kwaki and catches up to him. Brouto and Kawaki meet and then fight about why Kawaki tried to run away again. Boruto punches Kawaki and tells him that he needs to Protect Kawaki.

Boruto episode 291 teaser revealed that Boruto is confronted by code, and the manga arc will be covered very soon. The teaser showed us that Boruto and Code might have a confrontation as they have done in the manga. If the same source is adapted well, then the animation will probably be the best Boruto fans have ever seen.

The anime episodes had taken a hiatus from the manga and have only recently decided to adapt from its source.
