Stride gum

Stride gum was first introduced by Cadbury in 2007 and became an instant hit with customers in the US thanks to its different flavours and colourful packaging.

Some of people’s most flavours have been ‘Forever Fruit’, ‘Sweet Berry’, ‘Winterblue’, ‘Spearmint’, ‘Sweet Peppermint’, among others.

The brand was acquired by Kraft Foods in 2010. A 2011 article reported that Stride gum was “losing ground” in that year as the company’s main demographic were teenagers.

“Gum becomes one of those things that is part of that rite of passage,” NPD food industry analyst Harry Balzer said, adding that teens make “the choice of what brands [they] are going to consume.”

“Let’s make sure you can find them all. Have you checked our product locator yet? It should tell you the nearest store that carries them.”

In a post from September 2019, Stride gum said that their products are “available nationally”, explaining: “We’re still available nationally. If there are no stores near you that carry it, ask your local store manager to order some for you. Or you can try an online retailer like Amazon. We don’t want you to be without your favorite gum.”
