Justin Townes Earle has died at the age of 38. He is survived by wife Jenn Marie Earle and their daughter.
The world woke up to the devastating news that acclaimed singer-songwriter Justin Townes Earle has died.
The news has been confirmed on the singer’s official social media profiles.
“It is with tremendous sadness that we inform you of the passing of our son, husband, father and friend Justin,” the statement read.
“So many of you have relied on his music and lyrics over the years and we hope that his music will continue to guide you on your journeys. You will be missed dearly Justin.”

Who is Justin Townes Earle’s wife?
Jenn Marie Earle is a Gyrotonic instructor who founded the Pilates studio En Route in Salt Lake City.
According to information on En Route, Jenn set up the studio back in 2007.
“Wanting to carve out a studio that is true to the intentions of Joseph Pilates repertoire and the expansiveness of the Gyrotonic Method, Jenn Marie created a truly unique studio that provides a most genuine movement experience,” the pilates studio’s website explains.
Jenn left the studio in 2014 and handed it over to Breanna Dumke Helfrich.
Justin and Jenn’s relationship
Justin has often spoken of his wife Jenn in previous interviews.
It’s unknown when the two started dating but they tied the knot in 2013.
A 2015 news article from New Castle Herald reported that Justin broke up with a former girlfriend in 2011. Therefore, we could assume that Justin and Jenn might have met after that.
“My wife and I will be moving, probably west, to not live in a red [Republican] state,” the singer told the publication at the time. “We want to see another part of life, probably the Pacific Northwest. Set up shop there. We definitely want to find the place where we want to be, to raise children – but we’re not going to discuss them until we’re 35.”
Justin has spent a lot of time on the road, so he and Jenn have moved a lot of places during the last few years.
In another interview, this time for SF Examiner in 2019, Justin explained why he and Jenn decided to move to Portland from Fort Bragg.
“It was so remote up there, if anything had happened with Etta, health-wise we would have to have had her airlifted out, so I didn’t feel safe staying there,” the late singer said. “And we couldn’t afford to live in San Francisco, so we chose the next big city that was close to a hospital, and we ended up in Portland.”
Justin and Jenn welcomed their daughter Etta St. James Earle in 2017.
